About

I am an executive level product development veteran who has a passion for developing consumer facing technology products. My ability to wear many hats as well as my continual thirst for knowledge gives me keen insight into what is necessary to develop and effectively bring new products to market.

I love technology and tend to gravitate towards firms that are developing products that get into peoples hands. I’m driven by the desire to see products I’ve worked on used by consumers.

I began my career in the early 90s at ENSONIQ Corp. and in addition to playing *way* too many video games, worked with the team that developed the Soundscape family of audio cards. After the acquisition of ENSONIQ by Creative Technologies, I’ve bounced around a number of startups including G-Vox and B2C2, Intellifit.

I’ve also worked on the SWRV music network while running the Engineering Product group at Music Choice. However, I found that life in a “big company” didn’t really fit me so I left and went to work at myYearbook.

I’m currently the Director of Product at MeetMe, a company that came out of the merger between myYearbook and Quepasa.

Why this blog?

I used to primarily use Facebook, Diigo and a number of other web apps to discuss things that were important to me.  However, I realized that by using 3rd party web apps I didn’t really own the data but rather, I was the product.

So I’ve moved all of that to my own blog where I am free to get the data out whenever I want.
